Court Fees and Subscriptions
There are no court fees. Members pay an annual subscription which covers
all costs, including floodlights. Currently full adult membership equates to about
£4.50 per week and for this you can play as often as you wish.
Playing Standard
Unlike many other tennis clubs, at Gidea Park you do not have to be able to play tennis to join
the club. Whilst the club does have many excellent players, some of whom represent Essex
and even Great Britain, the majority of players just play social tennis purely for fun and exercise.
We have individual coaching and group lessons for people of all
standards and various evenings geared towards beginner and improving players. We also have social membership for
£5.00 per year for those people who prefer to watch their tennis from the comfort of the bar or viewing verandah.
Dress Code
We do not have old fashioned kit rules and you do not have to spend large sums on designer labels as long as it is
either predominantly white or designed for tennis. The main thing that we
ask is that trainers must have non-
Soles.
